Gboard for Android gets new look

In a disassembly of APK, there was a leak of the new design of Gboard, the virtual keyboard application that Google has been working on. The images, published on the website Android Police, reveal the source exchange Roboto to the Product Sans, which best adapts to the latest revisions of the “Material Theme”.

To highlight the look of the new design, just activate the edges of the keys in the theme settings on the Gboard. The gray in the background has been replaced by white, and the keys of the new version have gained a slight gray tone, and are not as evident as before. However, the shift, backspace, numeric alternator and enter keys took on a darker shade of gray.

In addition, the dark keyboard theme now features a completely black background and gray keys. In terms of functionality, everything continues as before.

Unfortunately, as these changes were captured via a server-side switch (back end), it is possible that, even installing the latest beta version of the Google keyboard, it is not possible to enter the new design. However, if you want to try your luck, you can get the latest version of Gboard directly on the Play Store.
